IR Retail Solutions Awarded Exclusive Door Contract

BRIDGETON, MO - (August 1, 2002) - IR Retail Solutions, a unit of Ingersoll-Rand, has been awarded a multi-year contract as the exclusive supplier of entrance doors for Wal-Mart's Neighborhood Markets.

Wal-Mart opened its first Neighborhood Market in 1998, and today operates more than 30 of the grocery stores in three states, with plans to add 15-20 units this year.

The IR Retail Solutions business caters to food retailers, delivering integrated solutions tailored to their unique needs. The company offers products from industry-leading brands, design and engineering, equipment installation and service, audits and monitoring.

IR Retail Solutions will be supplying the Dor-O-Matic 96K series of automatic sliding doors to the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets. Each store will have six bi-parting sliding doors, in 12' or 14' lengths depending on store design. The Dor-O-Matic doors will be used primarily at front entrances.
